Thank you for your continued use of Shinjuku Gyoen National Garden.

Starting on September 1, 2026, electricity generated by nearby pavement-mounted solar power systems (solar pavement) will be available for visitors to use at charging facilities installed next to benches at four locations within the garden.

The available charging options include:

Wireless charging
Power outlets
AC 100V outlets
USB ports (Type-A and Type-C)
Regarding solar pavement, which is expected to become an important advanced technology, we are examining measures to minimize its impact on the landscape and promoting initiatives that support the simultaneous realization of carbon neutrality and nature positivity in national parks and other nationally significant scenic areas.
