Nakadachiuri Resthouse

Surrounded by giant trees in Kyoto Gyoen (park) that surrounds the Kyoto Imperial Palace, is the Nakadachiuri Resthouse, “the resthouse in the forest”, which is free and open to everyone, and where people can spend their time in a relaxing atmosphere. Terrace seats overlook Kyoto Imperial Palace.
Built with various types of wood mainly from local forests in Kyoto, the building is designed barrier-free and eco-friendly. Enjoy an experience of Kyoto Gyoen original cuisine with seasonal and Kyoto local ingredients at the restaurant ‘ Higaki Saryo’.
